For delegates travelling to Cape Town from other African countries, please note that international roaming charges for calls and data can be high. It is important to ensure that international roaming is activated with your service provider prior to travel, and that you are aware of the associated costs. To avoid unexpected charges, it is recommended to switch off data roaming when not in use.
To stay connected more cost-effectively, we recommend making use of Wi-Fi where available for messaging and calls via apps such as WhatsApp, FaceTime, or Skype. Alternatively, you may consider downloading the Airalo app, which provides eSIM options across multiple countries, offering a convenient and affordable way to access mobile data without needing to change SIM cards.
Please remember to bring your mobile phone charger to ensure uninterrupted connectivity during your stay.
